Exercise #23

THIS IS THE LAST EXERCISE.

1. What were your favorite discoveries or exercises on this learning journey? My favorite exercise was the one that I learned about Flickr. I have really enjoyed working with Flickr. I can now send pictures to my friends a lot easier then emailing them. It is also nice that if my friends find a picture that they like they can order it off the website. This is good because I have a friend who is moving to Japan and it will make seeing pictures of her family easier.

2. How has this program assisted or affected your lifelong learning goals? It has helped because I have now learned more about the different technologies that are out there that I did not know about.

3. Were there any take-a-ways or unexpected outcomes from this program that surprised you? I am not the type of person who enjoys technology very much so I was surpriced when I was done with this program that there were some things that I really did enjoy working with and will most likely use again.

4. What could we do differently to improve upon this program’s format or concept? I did not enjoy that every time I did an exercise I had to regester on a website and my username was different everytime so I had a hard time remembering wheat they all were. I also had a hard time because I work for the government so a lot of the websites that I had to go to I had to use a different computer to look at them because they were restricted.

5.If we offered another discovery program like this in the future, would you choose to participate? I would not participate in full I might look at the different exercises and see if there is one that I wanted to learn about. But I am sure that it there is another discovery program that my director will use it as a training like he did this one. So yes I am sure I will participate in another one of these programs.

Exercise # 22

This is another exercise that I did not like. It was hard to search for what I wanted to find. I typed in Harry Potter and did not get any of the Harry Potter Books. I am not very impressed with this website. I like it when the books are brocken up into catagories.

Exercise #21

Well one of the Podcast sites that was listed is being closed down as of the end of October. I am not sure about these Podcasts I don't know how much I will use these if ever.

I don't not like this any more. I could not figure out how to get a podcast to post on this blog so I am stoping this exercise it is frustrating me to much.

Exercise #20

YouTube:

I had a hard time staying on track with this one I had a lot of fun looking at the different videos and playing with them. I was disapointed I was looking for the video of my wedding song and could not find it.

Ok so this is the new car that I bought. I really like it mostly the back seats and how they fold up or down and the fact that the front seats fold all the way flat. I do not like the trunk it is on the small size for now it is good but once we have kids it will be to small.
Lets see if I did this correctly and if it will post.
I really enjoy YouTube I could spend all day playing with it.

Exercise #15

Ok to be completely honest I had a really hard time focaccing on this exercise. These articals have some good points and views. It will be interesting to see how things turn out and what librarys look like in the future.

Exercise #19

The website that I decided to look at is: http://upcoming.yahoo.com/ I think that this website would be great for most librarys mostly public ones for posting events. I do not think it would be very good for our library because in order to come to our library you have to have a military id or work on the base. You can look up different locations so if you are going on vacation you can look at the area you are going to, to see if there is anything going on that you might like to go to. I did notice that there was not much posted so I am not sure how much this website is acctualy used.

exercise #18

Ok, so the last two blogs were exercise #18 and I thought it was going to be hard to post them on the blog from the websites but it was actualy very easy to do. Which is amazing because I am not very good when given new programs it did not take me very long to figure out how to use these two programs. I had a lot of fun "playing with" learing how to use them. But I must say I enjoyed using Zoho more then google docs.
